Producer | Musical Director
Dane has always wanted to be a performer and creative. His love for performing started at a very young age, which led him to studying four years as a full-time student at the Waterfront Theatre School where he obtained his international qualifications in Musical Theatre (LTCL London), Drama (LTCL London) and Dance throughTrinity London.
He has also performed in numerous theatrical and musical theatre productions at the Artscape Theatre such as ‘Fiddler on the Roof SA’, ‘Oklahoma SA’ and ‘All the World’s a Stage’ to name a few. He has also done various short films and TV commercials both locally and internationally.
In 2017, he decided to take a leap of faith and open his own small business in Paarl called ‘The Musical Theatre Masterclass’. He opened the studio with the sole purpose of training a young generation of child performers who share a passion and love for performing in all aspects of dramatic arts. He uses his knowledge, expertise and experience in this field as a performer and teacher to train his students while building confidence, discipline, self-esteem and team-work, igniting a small flame in his students.
He believes it is important for young kids to have more opportunity and platforms for performing on stage and appealing to a larger audience. Dane also serves as MTM’s resident musical director and producer.
